Ripples of Change
Every Thelu carries more than fabric, it carries a story of collaboration, hope, and purpose. Behind each stitch are communities, corporate partners, and supporters who believe that small acts, when joined together, can create meaningful change. From five-star hotels donating old linens to NGOs helping distribute finished Thelus, every contribution transforms discarded material into opportunity, weaving sustainability with empowerment.
Last week marked another chapter in this journey at our *Vikramgad center*, where 17 women in Mada Chpada, 11 in Dholkar Pada, and 10 in Kompada sharpened their skills. We also trained Mataji, the ISKCON supervisor overseeing five villages, spreading knowledge and expertise across the region.
As we look ahead, we’re excited to expand right after Diwali to around 10 more villages, engaging over 50 women in building their skills and livelihoods. Each stitch, each bag, is a testament to what partnership can achieve; a ripple that uplifts women, strengthens communities, and protects our planet.
Thelu is living proof that when hearts and hands come together, change is stitched into every corner of the world, one village at a time.
